So you’re probably here for one of two reasons, you just don’t get enough of me through my companies (only kidding, kinda haha) or you’re a female entrepreneur who identifies with my way of doing things. The no bullshit, give no fucks, hustle your ass off approach to business. If you’re not familiar with me, or want to get to know more, let me tell you a fucking story. It should be noted, if you’re not a fan of profanity, it’s probably best you exit now haha.
Growing up I was surrounded by entrepreneurism in my father and my mother but I hadn’t yet thought of it for me. When I started working I went to the retail side of the workforce. I genuinely enjoyed helping people find things that they were looking for. I worked for a few stores and worked my way up to management in a big box retailer. I was working full time, as well as attending college full time. I was getting frustrated with the fact that were false promises of promotions, and no matter how hard I worked, they never followed through.
So after shitty boss and shitty boss, I decided that I no longer wanted to have the fate of my career be in someone else’s hand. So when I was a year away from graduating college, I decided that I was going to make it a plan to work for myself. Then and there (in class nonetheless) I wrote out my plan, decided what items I would sell, and then starting mulling over a name. Four short months later my first baby was born, Metal Marvels.
That was the start of a life of hustle. I worked my ass off daily. I spent mornings at school, evenings at work, and nights working on my business. There were ups and downs, times of figuring shit out, nights of stress and days of success. A drive was ignited inside me that I never knew I had.
5 years later (and counting) I am still the CEO of Metal Marvels and finally have employed 2 badass women. I have since quit my 9-5 to run my company full time. I also recently acquired an existing company, Zions Den Apparel, with my new business partner. My hustle drives me every single day. With that hustle and the growing badass community surrounding Metal Marvels, I realized just how fucking much I love helping other women. I want to show women that it’s absolutely possible to be successful even if you’re a plus size, tattooed, woman with purple hair who curses like a sailor. I’m obsessed with encouraging women to be themselves, to stand up for what they believe in, and to make life their bitch.
Which is why we’re here. I want this to be a community where female entrepreneurs can learn about business and life. Where we empower other women and not just see them as competition. This is my no bullshit approach to life, and business.
